The A to Z language of Teenagers

ASL- “netspeak” term used from one person to another to ask them their “age, sex, and location.” It is usually used in a chatting situation with someone you don’t know.   

Bae- Term used to designate ‘Baby’ or ‘Babe’ for teenage couples. Like “Hey Bae what you doin’? Can you come here right now?” Quite they didn’t know that some languages used ‘Bae’ as a term for ‘Poop’. Yeah. ‘POOP’

Checkin out-  Going home or dying.  "That fool is goin' to be checkin' out tonight." To look at someone of the opposite sex in interest.  "Check out that blondie over there.”

Dude - A term to informally address an individual. An exclamation used when something is astonishing or amazingly cool. “Dude you better get up or else…”

Epic fail- If something fails though the work seems so easy. If a fail is a fail in life, then an epic fail is a fail of giant proportions.

Friends with benefits- A description for a type of relationship where friends enjoy casual sex with no strings attached. Purely recreational sex.  ""I saw you coming out of Gina's apartment this morning. Are you guys friends with benefits now?" Yeah Like Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake or Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher.

Gangsta- A gangster. One who acts, dresses and talks like a gang member.  "Jesse, what size are those pants? 45? You look like a gansta!"  Yeah “SHE’S DATING THE GANGSTA!”

Homie- Old word (derived from the Hispanic Americans who used "homes" as a label for others) that means friend or companion.  As for, “Yo Guys these are my homies!”

IDK- Acronym for “I don’t Know” Like who cares? Or does it really mean they don’t know. “IDK what are you’re doing”

Juiced- To get drunk or hammered.  "That kid is so juiced.”

K.Dot- Like to assess that “Okay whatever.” Or “Fine, you say so”. To end the conversation.

LMAO- Another acronym used in texting and secret code in reference to “laughing my ass off."  "When Jessica fell in that puddle I LMAO.”

MoMoL- Used specially in Philippines, Acronym for “Make-out, Make-out lang” Like foreplay. Usually used by couples.

Newbie (NooB)- Someone who is new to a particular activity, specifically a game, concept or forum. “Hi guys I’m a newbie here”

OOTD- “Outfit of the day” usually tagged in instagram accounts, twitter or facebook. Used to point out the dress, clothes or outfit that teenager’s wear.

Photo bomb- When a person or object is in a picture accidentally or intentionally and as a result, ruins the photo.

Queen- A homosexual male who is extremely flamboyant and exemplifies many female traits and gestures.  "I've seen some gay people in my life, but that fool is straight up a queen." 

Real Talk- Like saying “No, seriously dude, let’s have a real talk”. The Truth or something very serious. 

Selfie- Famous word used for taking pictures and having a solo picture.

Throw back - A vintage basketball or football jersey. Or a term used in social media accounts to designate a vintage picture, like an old photograph.

Unfriend-  To remove a person from your list of friends or contacts on a social networking site.  

Vogues- Wide wheels, sometimes with white walls.

Wapakels-  Like saying “I don’t give a damn”, “I don’t care” as to say “Whatever”

Xlicious- A term used to describe something that is pleasing to the eye, something that is beuatifal to look at, or someone who is dressed really nice.  "Yo, Henry lookin' xlicious in that suite!" or "That new Lexus is xlicious.

YOLO- An acronym for "You Only Live Once". A term often employed after making an irrational or snap decision.  “This is the best day of my Life #YOLO”

Zoned out/zonen- A term used to refer to the similar actions of daydreaming, unaware of the moment, usually lost in deep thought. The actions of a person who is intoxicated and unable to control their thoughts.  "Leave Matt alone. He's zoned out.

-          What else can you do once a guy outside your window brings some boom box and let the beat goes on? What else? Doesn’t the beat goes the same as your heart beat? Why not? It’s a classic gesture and teenagers mostly find it ‘ewww’ but what else can you missed with this kind of thing for love? It’s simple as sweet and it designates just how much you love your partner. YOU’RE FORGIVEN. I’M SORRY AM I FORGIVEN?

This page is all yours. Yes all yours. Because this page is for the people I hated, for the people I hurt, for the people I almost forgotten because of what I did to them or what they did to me. You may not know how you affect other people lives, but yes, we are all part of this cycle. It is the stupid cycle of affection. Every action has an effect to other people—bad or good. We may think it is okay with them and its okay to play jokes on them, but we didn’t know exactly what they think INSIDE. So right here, before it’s too late I am going to forgive you, now let me ask you, are you ready to forgive me?

First, to the people I hurt, consciously or not.

Some people I know I hurt, some people I don’t. But yeah that’s the thing, I know I hurt other people’s feeling, but sometimes I didn’t quite know I already step on their lane. So here is it, I AM SORRY.

 (1)To the girl sis I had when I was still coping with the new vibes of my life. Girl, you help me a lot, you teach me many things I wouldn’t forget especially the sweet things you did. You made our friendship more colorful than what you may think. I am glad that I met someone like you. You are really strong and a tough girl, but deep inside you’re my sister. Why men in 20’s don’t settle down.

Men, just like women have so many issues in their life. Women speak out for that, but as for men, as defining them to be the powerful, strong, confident guy never speaks out for it. But to tell you the truth, they just keep it inside. So why does men sometimes lead to a break up after three months or two months of relationship? Why does it happen all over again? And it feels like they are finding something or maybe someone that they can’t find?

Well, some of the guys maybe don’t feel like turning their relationships into the next level or maybe they don’t need a girl to complete them— just for now.

But some other dudes there got a thing for girls, got an eye for a girl, got a heart for a girl but still some things pre-occupied their mind and let them to a thought that there is something lacking about them.

So what it is?

(1)    Friends

-Guys sometimes feels fine and are more attentive to their ‘happy times’ and ‘guy thingy’ they thought about more happiness, more adventures, and more stories to come out because of their friends that sometimes they forget about their romantic relationship. It is also the why some guys don’t settle down at 20’s because they thought of lacking time for his partner or for his friends, well either of the two when he’s not already ready he’ll just choose the latter one.

(2)    Career

-Well it is so obvious, that some professional and workaholic guys focus on their career and what more can bring our of this things. They look over for more opportunities in life and they enjoy mostly the time they spend for just working. Seems so impossible but some guys do that. So yeah, guys who are not ready to settle down mainly concerns more about their work and priorities in life that they somehow forget the love they once had.

(3)    Finding what path to choose

- It just mainly the belief of ‘finding their selves’, finding their identity’. It seems a phrase full of shit, but of course when you still find yourself, when you still want to learn more about you, you focus on yourself, you are minding your own. When this guys had a relationship in turns out that it didn’t work that well, it’s because they are unsure of some things and somehow they didn’t know where to start.

(4)    Immaturity and Emotionally unprepared

- Another thing is that some guys are still on the ‘boy toy thing’ nothing serious, nothing more. Just ready to play video games and collect characters of some superheroes and villains on his favorite magazine. Do you remember the movie ’40 year old virgin’? Steve Carell played a man who’s still a virgin, but to tell you it’s just that he’s not that ready and still immature about accepting things as a man and by the way part of it was his action figures.

(5)    Finding Mrs. Right

-Cheesy as it may sounds, but yeah it is somehow the reason why we go and push so hard on relationships but didn’t turn out well. Then we get tired of it and we choose to stop for some time. Then it’s just the thought of ‘he’s still looking for the right women’. And when he surely does, when that time comes, somehow those things that make him unprepared and unready will just turn upside down.
